On Sunday, August 6, 2017 the National Capital Chapter and Captain Charlie Bryan
hosted four veterans on a Chesapeake Bay Fishing trip. The four hour trip which was
originally scheduled for July 30,2017 was postponed until the 6th due to tropical storm
conditions on the bay. The fishing was great and the fishermen limited out by early
morning. Following the trip the chapter treated the veterans to a real Chesapeake Bay
Crab Feast.

The veterans were presented with fishing equipment and knives compliments of
Freedom Hunters who assisted the chapter in finding the participants. Participants
included: Gene Miska - Retired US Army - 21 Years of service, Darrin Lynn - Retired
USMC - 20 years of service, Jeremy Horsley - Discharged - Purple Heart Recipient and
Corey Alderman - Freedom Hunters volunteer and USMC veteran.
